HIGHLIGHTS
Potential challengers for the ROH Women’s Championship

“So, I’ve said this before, but I really want to step in the ring with Trish Adora. Whether it be for my title, or not, I think she’s so awesome. I think her story is amazing. I think she’s a great professional wrestler and I really, really think that we could make some magic in there.”

“Chelsea Green, too. I really want to have a one-on-one with her just because we did have that tag match. And I think having a one on one with her would be amazing. She is amazing! She’s so sweet. She is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She’s always been super helpful while I’ve been at Ring of Honor. Definitely those two.”

Reflecting on her career and her Total Divas cameo

“It is wild. That is so crazy. I remember watching that on TV and we didn’t even know when it was gonna come out. I think it was like a few months after that they actually recorded that it came out. They were like ‘this might be on, it might not,’ but I remember we were watching TV and it said ‘Baltimore, Maryland.’ Now I was like, ‘oh, whatever. I’m from Laredo, Texas.’ That’s where it was. That’s where it was recorded. Then I pop up, and I was like, ‘what?!'”

“But it’s so weird, because Baltimore, Maryland is wearing Ring of Honor primarily based [for] the tapings. So I’m like ‘huh. That’s weird!’ But yeah, that moment – and it’s crazy to see how I said I want to be a diva because that’s what it was at the time. Now, women’s wrestling is on fire, and they’re not divas anymore. They’re wrestlers. It’s kind of cool to just see how much has changed since then see how much I’ve accomplished. Like you said, I am so ready for so much more.”

Rok-C on Trish Adora, Chelsea Green, Potential Challengers

by Spencer Love September 30, 2021
written by Spencer Love

Saturday night saw Ring of Honor Women’s Champion Rok-C defend her title for the first time since capturing it in the finals of the Women’s Championship Tournament nearly three weeks ago. The match, taking place at New Texas Pro Wrestling’s ‘Olajuwon’ event, saw the brand-new titleholder take on one of independent wrestling’s biggest stars, Killer Kelly. Prior to Saturday, many would have listed Kelly as a dream opponent for Rok-C to defend her title against.

With that name now off the list, however, I asked the champ about some other individuals she’d like to step across the squared circle from.

“I’m going to make you exclude the people you’ve talked about before, whether it’s Deonna [Purrazzo], whether it’s Sumie [Sukai], or anybody in between,” I commented. “Is there anybody that you particularly want to defend the championship against? You’ve wrestled, again, even outside of the tournament, individuals like Willow Nightingale and Chelsea Green and again, a who’s who.

So, is there anybody that maybe Rok-C is looking to step in the ring against?

“

As expected, the champ was eager to cross a few dream opponents off of her list.

“So, I’ve said this before, but I really want to step in the ring with Trish Adora,” the champ began. “Whether it be for my title, or not, I think she’s so awesome. I think her story is amazing. I think she’s a great professional wrestler and I really, really think that we could make some magic in there.”

“Chelsea Green, too,” she continued emphatically. “I really want to have a one-on-one with her just because we did have that tag match. And I think having a one on one with her would be amazing. She is amazing! She’s so sweet. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She’s always been super helpful while I’ve been at Ring of Honor. Definitely those two.”

Rok-C on her Total Divas Cameo, Reflecting on Her Career

by Spencer Love September 30, 2021
written by Spencer Love

At just 19 years old, Rok-C already has the accolades of a twenty-year veteran. The brand-new Ring of Honor Women’s Champion first stepped inside the squared circle at just thirteen years old, and since then, has captured championships in nearly every promotion she’s wrestled for.

However, even before she began her training at Reality of Wrestling, wrestling fans caught their first glimpse of Rok-C in a brief cameo on WWE’s Total Divas. When we recently chatted for Love Wrestling, I had to ask the champ about not only that appearance but on her progression as a professional wrestler in the six years since then.

“It’s been about three years since you first posted the picture where you were telling Natalya on Total Divas that you were going to be a professional wrestler. You looked back then but look back three years later: how cool is it for you to be able to look back six years into your pro wrestling career and say, ‘I’ve come a long way.

I’ve done great things. I’m the Ring of Honor effing Women’s Champion, and there’s still so much great stuff to come?

“

“Like I said, it is wild,” she began, laughing. “That is so crazy. Then I pop up, and I was like, ‘what?

!’ But it’s so weird, because Baltimore, Maryland is wearing Ring of Honor primarily based [for] the tapings. So I’m like ‘huh. That’s weird!'”

“It’s almost simpatico, yeah!” I replied.

“Right? But yeah, that moment – and it’s crazy to see how I said I want to be a diva because that’s what it was at the time. Now, women’s wrestling is on fire, and they’re not divas anymore. They’re wrestlers.”

“It’s kind of cool to just see how much has changed since then see how much I’ve accomplished,” she concluded. “Like you said, I am so ready for so much more.”
