Saturday night in Los Angeles, one of the 12 people involved in the Money In The Bank Ladder matches’ life will change. When you are blessed with the opportunity to hold that briefcase over the heads of the champions, you are somewhat in control of the company. More importantly, you are in control of your own future and destiny within WWE. Once you’ve scaled the ladder and unhooked that briefcase that contains a title opportunity at any time, it’s now your game and everyone else is forced to change how they operate. For the 12 individuals involved, step one is to win the briefcase, you can’t change the game if you don’t play the game. So per usual, let’s rank each wrestler in their respective matches on who has the best chance to leave the Intuit Dome as a MITB winner:
Women’s Ladder Match Rankings
1. Stephanie Vaquer
Now, full disclosure, it pains me to not have Rhea Ripley on top of any list, as Mami is always on top. That said, we have a new star in town and by all accounts they plan to push her to the moon, as they should. Vaquer has hit the ground running since joining WWE and a Money In The Bank Briefcase would further cement La Primera’s meteoric rise in WWE.
2. Naomi
Naomi is on one right now and in the best of ways. Since being reveled as Jade Cargill’s attacker, Naomi has had one of the best heel transitions we have seen in quite some time. Just imagine Tiffany Stratton having to “Proceed With Caution” while Naomi holds the Money in the Bank Briefcase and just toys with your WWE Women’s Champion. That’s something Smackdown could really benefit from.
3. Rhea Ripley

It’s Mami, man! That’s all I would need to say to justify even a higher position on this list. While it’s awesome that Rhea is in this matchup, it’s not something she needs to win. She’s already established herself at the top of the roster. To be honest, she has shown all she has to do is annoy Adam Pearce and he will cave and give her any title shot she wants.
4. Giulia
Much like Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia has been on a run since debuting on the main roster. This match feels like a showcase moment for The Beautiful Madness. Giulia will have some really great shots and even touch the case a couple times, but ultimately will fall victim to this being one of the most talented Money In The Bank matches in women’s history.
5. Roxanne Perez
The Prodigy was an early favorite for the win, but as the field has filled out with heavy hitters, the path feels much steeper for Perez. Add in the fact that she’s been stirring up the pot with Dirty Dom and the Judgement Day, and I wouldn’t put it past Liv Morgan to mastermind a plan to eliminate Perez from contention. That said, I could also see a situation where Perez shocks us all and brings the Briefcase back to the “clubhouse.” That dream scenario aside, I think it’s more the latter than the former and Perez will come up short.
6. Alexa Bliss
The only way I see Alexa pulling this out is if she calls up some old friends in the Wyatt Sicks and they clean house to make it easy work for Bliss. That would be a shocking move to say the least. Bliss is the most experienced member of the field, so it is possible her veteran savvy could help her navigate this young and hungry field.
Men’s Money in The Bank Ladder Match
1. Seth Rollins
This feels too on the nose. When you look at the field, Rollins is the clear number one choice to win this year’s Money In The Bank. That said, Rollins and his new running mates – Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed – haven’t been making friends along the way. The past two weeks, they have kept Sami Zayn and CM Punk from qualifying for this match, which I have a feeling will come back to bite Rollins on Saturday. Even with that all said, the storyline of Rollins winning and maybe even a possible Sami Zayn turn to the dark side leaves me with Rollins at 1 in the rankings for the briefcase.
2. LA Knight
We could do a lot worse than LA Knight holding on to the Briefcase for a while, especially if John Cena holds the title. If you remember, they did team together a few years ago at Fastlane. Granted, Cena is a heel and LA Knight is still incredibly over. The reason I bring it up is, clearly it’s someone John likes and probably would be ok if LA Knight Cashes in on him.
3. Penta
I love me some Penta. He’s rapidly moved up the pecking order in WWE since his arrival. He would pose a real intriguing threat to either Jey Uso or Gunther on the Raw side of things. I’m not 100% sold on him as this year’s winner because at the end of the day, I think a nice lengthy IC Title run is in Penta’s future and we don’t need the Briefcase for that, especially with Dirty Dom as Champ.
4. Solo Sikoa
The rise and fall of Solo Sikoa should be studied. Once upon a time I had him pegged as the next big thing when he debuted for the Bloodline. I even thought he could be World Champion one day. It just hasn’t happened. The OG Bloodline is gone; Sikoa’s iteration of the Bloodline seems to be falling apart; and his running mate Jacob Fatu has surpassed him as the face of the group. JC Mateo, formerly known as Jeff Cobb, might be doing the same. A win here could easily restore Solo as a major player on Smackdown, but I just don’t know if we will see it this year.
5. El Grande Americano
A surprising win over CM Punk and AJ Styles has El Grande a few feet away from doing the unthinkable and winning MITB. Sure, he got some help from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, but that’s not his fault. I’ll say this – would I be shocked if they gave it to him to shock us? Nope. If they do decide El Grande Americano is the winner on Saturday, I think people just might riot. The payoff isn’t El Grande becoming a World Champion as the case is designed for, it’s for us to finally answer the question: Who’s the man behind the mask?
6. Andrade
While I enjoy Andrade in these spots, I’ve never gone into a match confident he would actually win it. I’m not quite sure what’s next for Andrade, but I am sure he will have a solid match with some killer spots that remind us of just how good he is.
There you have it. On the women’s side, I could make the case this is the most stacked women’s MITB match we have had to date. On the men’s side, it’s Rollins or a shocker – that’s the move. Who do you have winning the briefcases and changing the course of WWE forever – or at least until next year’s winners do the same?
