We are back! It’s the last Friday of the month which can mean one thing: LPW is here. Its 38th installment: Welcome to the Machine looks to be as expensive as any show yet. TNA stars Sinner and Saint are back and AEW Star Billie Starkz makes her debut. We have two Grand Champions? There is, simply put, a ton to unpack here so let’s get after it!

Rich King vs Chad Mills

This hurts my eyes, seeing Rich King align with Thaddeus Archer. Once bitter rivals, are now working together to make Rich King a top guy in LPW. If you’ve watched LPW before, you know he is already a major player. Adding Thaddeus Archer to the mix is like adding Kevin Durant to a 73-win Warriors team – it’s just dangerous. For all of Thad’s awful qualities, and believe me there are a lot, you can’t argue with his success rate when he takes interest in a talent.
While I’m not overly familiar with the debuting Chad Mills, we will find out a lot about him Friday night. Can Mills shock the LPW world and defeat King, who has been on a run as of late, or will Thad’s influence prove to be too much and it will be business as usually for Rich King?
Para Lira vs The Canadian Goose and Scotty Ace

Your current Tag Team Champions are ready to take on all comers. Enter in a New Team Scotty Ace and The Canadian Goose Kyle Show. The most seasoned teams in LPW have struggled with Para Lira. I can’t imagine working out the kinks of a new partnership with bode well for Ace & Shaw but crazier things have happened before.
Para Lira continues to prove it doesn’t matter who is in their path, they lay them out just the same. As the target on Shiek Shabazz and Berat Gorani grows each month, they don’t seem to let it bother them. Dare I even say they have a slight chip on their shoulders as Sinner & Saint will be in the house Friday night and might be looking to make a statement at the expense of Scotty Ace and Kyle Shaw. Maybe that statement is “we wanted that match against the best and we got next,” because even as champions they are ready for all comers and refuse to duck anyone, even a Goose.
Sinner & Saint vs The Short Kings

It finally happened! Travis Williams got his wish and gets a match with Marz The Specialist. Williams will be bringing his tag partner Judas Icurus to team up to take on Marz and his fellow Short King Reid Matthews. Sinner and Saint are on one of the best runs as a tag team and are simply a well-oiled machine that is better than even that. The Short Kings are also a phenomenal tag team but as of late haven’t been tagging as regularly, as singles aspirations have taken them elsewhere. Even with tensions high at times for Marz and Reid, they will look to let that all go to focus on the job at hand. If they don’t, Williams & Icurus will make short work of The Short Kings.
Lumberjack Larry Woods vs Nick Shostastyk

An emotional Larry Woods is a different Larry Woods. I’m not sure I want to be Nick Shostastyk when that bell rings. Don’t get me wrong, Shostastyk has been impressive in LPW and the future is bright, but Lumberjack Larry has some pent-up frustrations at the hands of Rich King and it’s a ‘wrong place, wrong time’ scenario for Nick. Rich King was a brother to Larry and aligning with the enemy has Larry fired up. Rich didn’t seem to think Larry was enough. Larry will look to remind Rich he’s been to the top of the LPW mountain twice for a reason. Rich King has yet to accomplish that even once.
LPW Scramble Championship

Taryn From Accounting vs Christian Starr vs Wolfboy Will Malanta vs William Taylor vs Nate Nixon vs Rose (c)
Last month White Shirt William Taylor and Nasty Nate Nixon paid off big time for Rose as they interjected themselves into the match to help Rose retain her Scramble Championship. Well this month friends have turned to foes as Nate and William are now opponents of Rose.
While I appreciate LPW brass taking the stance of “you want in the match so bad, well now you’re in it,” something just doesn’t feel right. If you ask the newly formed dynamic trio, they will tell you their only objective is to keep the Scramble Championship around the waist of Rose. So what should be a 6-person scramble has been boiled down to a 3 on 3 scramble.
Christian Starr, Wolfboy Will Malanta and Taryn From Accounting are entering into one of the more lopsided scrambles we have seen. One has to wonder if they will figure out a plan ahead of time to neutralize this group or if it will be those three for themselves. The stakes are high here but the intrigue on how this one plays out is even higher.
Zoe Sager vs Billie Starkz

Zoe Sager sent shockwaves throughout Edmonton last month as she unexpectedly returned from injury. Not only did the Intangible return, Sager made it well known that she did not agree with the decision to vacate her LPW Grand Championship. So in Zoe’s mind, her newly spray painted ZPW Championship is the top prize in the business.
Does that mean we technically have two Grand Championship matches on this card? Would Zoe even put her “Championship” on the line against debuting AEW star Billie Starkz? I guess we will find out Friday.
No matter what Sager decides to do, it doesn’t change the fact that we have a potential match of the year on our hands. Starkz is simply one of the best and Sager has a lot to prove in her 1st match back from injury. I expect this to be a great match and it will go a long way for Zoe Sager as she looks to officially get herself back in the mix for the LPW Grand Championship if she can beat Billie Starkz. Easier said than done, but if anyone can do it, it’s a highly motivated and pissed off Zoe Sager.
LPW Challenge Championship

Michael Richard Blais (c) vs Dean Richtor
Your Challenge Champion might be looking at his hardest hitting test yet. Dean Richtor can throw hands with the best of them. Pair that with Richtor still looking for that signature win in LPW, and MRB’s days as Challenge Champion could be in jeopardy. I’ve been wrong before but something has me feeling MRB has his mind elsewhere. For the first time in a while, there are tensions running high in the Clandestine Society. His brother holds the most coveted title in LPW and not to mention TFA holds the golden ticket to a title of her choosing. I know in the past I’ve questioned MRB’s ability to mange all of this. While MRB has still got it all working in his favor, you have to wonder if this a perfect time for Richtor to strike.
LPW Grand Championship

Steven Crowe(c) vs TY Jackson
A rivalry that feels underrated, but if you know you know that Jackson vs Crowe never disappoints. Now the stakes are the highest they have ever been. TY Jackson gets another opportunity for the Grand Championship and has yet to get over the hump and bring it home. TY Jackson has had his focus pulled in multiple directions as the RADz look to be fizzling out. Can The People’s Championship get locked in and shock the world? I believe that if anyone can overcome any odds thrown their way, it’s TY Jackson.
For Crowe, his rise in 2025 has been fantastic but is the pressure of maintaining the top spot too much for the Rhinestone Cowboy? Steven Crowe and his running mate MRB had an interesting interaction where Crowe wasn’t too pleased with God’s gift to wrestling. Normally Crowe goes with the flow of whatever the leader of the Clandestine Society wants. So that begs the question: Is Steven Crowe ready to take the reins of the group, or was that simply a rough moment for your Grand Championship and all will fall back into place Friday night?
LPW looks to have an explosive night as well as go a long way to answer some important questions. If you want to catch all this action, it all goes down live on IWTV Friday night, June 28 at 7 p.m. MT. As always, keep it locked in here for more content from your favorite Love Wrestling personalities.
