Michael Richard Blais & Steven Crowe vs. TY Jackson & Lumberjack Larry Woods

The greatest rivalry in LPW history in my humble opinion is The RADz vs The Clandestine Society. Both groups were instrumental in helping LPW reach the heights it has to this point. Sure, Jackson and Woods have since gone their separate ways, and the RADz have been… let’s just say on hiatus. That doesn’t mean they still aren’t brothers who could come together to fight an old foe. For Crowe and MRB, they have had their bumps in the road here and there but ultimately have stayed stronger as ever as they hold the two top prizes LPW has to offer – the Challenge Championship and Grand Championship respectively. Factor in the temperature between Steve Crowe and TY Jackson as they are on a collision for the LPW Anniversary Show in March, where Jackson gets his Grand Championship opportunity. We are in for a very intense matchup. I can’t wait to see the next installment in these four’s heated rivalry.

Zoë Sager vs. Taryn From Accounting

I’ve put together an LPW Mount Rushmore in my head a few times over the years, and Zoe Sager and Taryn From Accounting are on it for me. Zoe Sager, this past Friday, cemented her place as one of the all-time greats, becoming the 1st ever Grand Slam Champion, winning the LPW Scramble Championship. So while the rivalry between these two is built on respect, both also desire to prove they are at the top of LPW, and now has a little more fuel added to the fire with Sager’s monumental win. Every time they mix it up, it lands as match of the night or darn close.  Not to mention, a win at one of LPW’s biggest events this early in the year could set Sager or TFA up for a title shot of their choosing. For Taryn From Accounting’s sake, I hope the Mad Lads get stuck in the Nacho Line during this match!

Para Lira (Berat Gorani & Sheik Shabaz) vs. The Mad Lads (William Taylor & Nasty Nate Nixon)

Both these teams faced off Friday night at LPW 44, and so they have each other very well scouted, which means we could be in for the best Tag Team Match in Oil Rumble history as Para Lira continues to be the most consistent team in LPW and all they do is win. Couple that with the fiery and unpredictable Mad Lads, who are looking every night out to leave LPW shaken from their actions. This has the makings of a show stopper. Can the Lads finally put there money where their mouths are and become tag team champions? We have seen this story time and time again with the Lads. Taylor and Nixon can help others win or keep championships but will they win some Tag Gold For themselves? You’ll have to be at Rogers Place to find out.

The Vörös Twins & Kevin Karius vs. Rich King, Dean Richtor, and Thaddeus Archer the Third

Fresh off putting a restraining order on Lumberjack Larry Woods this past Friday. Leave it to Thaddeus Archer to be invited to a radio station and pick a fight with an absolute sweetheart in radio host Kevin Karuis. Well, now Kevin gets his shot to slap the taste out of TA3’s mouth, and I, for one, can’t wait!

Also, who doesn’t love the most viral tag team in wrestling, The Voros Twins, who are as equally funny as they are great wrestlers? Let’s just hope TA3, Rich King & Dean Rictor are locked in as the Voros Twins will be fresh, not having wrestled Friday night.

Oil Kings Cup Match: Marz the Specialist ©️ vs. “The Thickness” Reid Matthews

Sometimes brothers have to fight. I think anyone with a brother knows it’s bound to happen. There’s a lot of love between The Short Kings. There is also, however, a lot of pride and a need to be the best in LPW. This is a competitive rivalry that has had the best of times for Marz and Reid and some not so great times. At the end of the day, there can be only one LPW Oil Cup winner, and all I can say is that neither man will be phoning it in here (IYKYK). I think we can all agree that whoever comes out on top will have earned every inch of that victory and hopefully a handshake from the loser to end the night!

I can’t wait to check out the Oil Rumble! Make sure to keep it locked in at Love Wrestling if you can’t be at Rogers Place Sunday for the matches to drop on socials! See you all in February!!
